In the Practical Nurse program, you will receive education that will prepare you to care for individuals throughout their lifespan. You will develop the foundation knowledge and skills that will enable you to provide hands-on nursing care to clients in a variety of settings, within the scope of practice of a Practical Nurse.

Clinical practice is provided in several areas, including medicine, surgery, geriatrics, obstetrics, pediatrics, mental health and community nursing. These clinicals enable you to acquire knowledge about yourself, clients, and colleagues, as well as the healthcare system in which you will strive to achieve excellence in nursing practice. Practical Nurses are committed to providing quality care that meets the needs of their clients and their families, in a spirit of compassion and respect for human dignity.
