The UBC School of Nursing combines a strong international reputation with award-winning faculty and students and the highest levels excellence in research, scholarship and education to professional nursing practice. Situated on the beautiful University of British Columbia campus in Vancouver, Canada, the UBC School of Nursing is at the forefront of nursing education, practice and research.

Founded in 1919, ours was the first university nursing school established in Canada. We have, throughout the course of our 90-year-history, been consistently recognized for our professional, scholarly and academic importance, and have established our reputation as one of the premier schools in the field of nursing.

Building on a tradition of commitment to international leadership and collaboration, the UBC School of Nursing plays an integral role in addressing todayâ??s global health care challenges. Faculty at the School are outstanding teachers as well as internationally recognized researchers, and hold a commitment to preparing baccalaureate, master's, and doctoral level nurses to enhance the health of persons within communities and the larger global environment.

Today, while offering innovative programs of study such as the accelerated Baccalaureate in Nursing program, Master of Science in Nursing, Nurse Practitioner and PhD programs, the School of Nursing remains a national leader in nursing education. Through innovative teaching strategies, the incorporation of advanced technology, and visionary and committed faculty, the school remains dedicated to improving the quality of care, preparing healthcare leaders for today and tomorrow and putting our scholarship into practice.
